2Storyline:
In Canada, author visits Indian storyteller Pi Patel and asks him to tell her life story. Pi tells the story of his childhood in Pondicherry, India, and the origin of the name. One day, his father owns a zoo, explained that the church is again supporting the zoo and he decided to move to Canada, where the family owns cattle will also be sold. They board a Japanese freighter and animals out of nowhere, there is a storm, followed by shipwrecking. Pi survives in a lifeboat with a zebra, orangutan, hyena and Bengal tiger male surnamed Richard Parker. They are adrift in the Pacific Ocean, and aggressive hyenas and Rickard Parker gets hungry. Pi must be a way to survive.
